Ta'anit Bechorot

What to know

Ta’anit Bechorot is observed by firstborns (and in many minhagim, fathers of young firstborns) on Erev Pesach, recalling the tenth plague and the sparing of Israel’s firstborn.

In practice, many communities end the fast early through a siyum (completion of a learning unit) rather than fasting until night. That is a custom to confirm with your rav — not something an app decides.
